Meet Karli
In 2020, just after COVID landed in Tasmania, I needed to make some serious changes. Fears and limiting beliefs were taking hold, and I wanted to break free.
Studying Holistic Counselling taught me about how my body and mind worked. Over time I built a toolbox of practices that shed light on tricky, stuck patterns and helped me to rewire them.
I also learned the value of a tribe of supportive teachers and peers. Within their safety, I have been brave enough to look in the mirror and make changes. As a Counsellor, I intend to create safety and space for others to do the same.
North West Tasmania is the place I call home. I play around with trail running, yoga and writing. The nuances of being human test me just as much as anyone else and being a Mum is my greatest motivator for continuing to do the work.
Philosophy and Qualifications
When we’re in the Counselling room, I’m a fellow traveller. It’s a confidential space where you’ll feel unconditional positive regard. Together, we’re exploring this knarly experience we call being human.
I skirted around the edges of counselling for years, ‘studying’ humans via roles in tourism marketing, small business and youth development. Then, COVID kicked me into gear in 2020 and led me to Holistic Counselling.
I’ve since gained a Diploma in Holistic Counselling with The Awakening Group. My practice is trauma-informed, guided by industry Codes of Ethics and registered with the International Institute of Complimentary Therapists.
